The Ghostly Shadow!!

One second you saw it, the next you didn’t. She wanted to turn around and leave this strange place, but curiosity got the better of her.

The fog seemed to be alive.

 

 It danced amongst the trees: smothered, slithered, sneaked, in and out of the branches. The trees lining the road, sentinels of the night, seemed to sway in the breeze, their branches reaching up like tentacles clawing for the sky, yearning to escape the cloying fog.

One second you saw it, the next you didn’t. The ghostly shadow vanished once again into the mist.

 

She had come too far to turn back now. Goosebumps prickled on her cold, clammy skin, and she was sure she could hear her heart thumping inside her chest like a fluttering bird begging to be let out of its cage. Pulling her scarf tightly around herself, she stepped forward into the woods, towards the place where the shadow had been…

 

Breathing heavily she suddenly heard rustling in the trees above, scared to look up “phew just a bird”. The shadow started disappearing, she was determined to see what or who this mysterious figure was. So she ran after it until she was close enough to walk.

 

She yelled “hey wait up” no one answered “OI WHO ARE YOU” still no one responded, now even more curious but still terrified she continued running. Little did she know there was a rock right in front of her.

 

Her shoe got caught up and she ended up tripping. The shadow didn't even notice or turn around, almost like someone had put it there on purpose.Then BANG!! Her eyes went blank, the back of her head felt like it had been hit. It had been indeed.

 

She wasn't fully awake but could still see. She saw a tall, partly bald man, wearing a black top hat, driving on the other side was a short woman wearing a nicely buttoned floral dress, with nice curly hair. She thought she had seen the two before, She got shivers down her spine  as the man looked back at her. Right then he hit her again, causing her to faint.

 

The time had passed who knew hours,days maybe weeks. Finally waking up.

“Ahhhhh” she mumbled because she still felt the pain when she got hit. 

Looking around in the dark room panic started taking over, she was tied to a chair. The lady that was driving entered the room.

“Hello darling” the lady said in a soft tone 

“Uh uh h-hello?” she said confused 

The more she looked the more she recognized the old scrunchie face staring at her.

“You alright darl” the lady yelled 

Not even focused on what the lady had said “what?”

“Oh never mind”

 

 

She looked even harder suddenly she remembered the old lady, A couple days ago her and her family were at the park across the road from their house, 

“Oh look kids” her mother said 

They all stared like a bunch of meerkats, 

“How lovely” she said with a nice smile 

“We should go say hello” her mother cheerfully said

But she had a creepy feeling about the two of them, not only did they never  once say hello to them nor did they ever smile.

 

“Why am I here”she yelled

“Why do you think”

She thought to herself man this lady is crazy

“My mother is probably looking for me” she said shaking 

“Oh no we took care of her” laughing creepily 

“What what do you mean” her eyes widened 

“Don't worry” the woman said 

 

Shocked by what this lady had said she started screaming 

“AHHHHH HELP HELP”

“HELP” she said balling her eyes out

“ no point” the lady had said with a wide smile

“ no one will hear you” screaming over top of all the yelling.

 

She was out of breath and really thirsty, 

“Ill see you soon” exiting the room

The room was silent, all she could hear was the ringing in her ear, all she could think about was her family and what happened to her mother.

As soon as she saw it her mouth dropped wide open……. 

The lady wasn't as smart as she thought, she could move the chair around, so she shuffled across the dark silent room to the wooden desk.

She grabbed the only thing that was on top of it….she slit the rope that had been tied around her arms and legs she could still see the scrape on her leg from tripping up.

 

She stood up and took her first step in 3 days, there was a beam of light shining through a window in the corner of the room, she ran to the window smashing it open all the glass spitting out onto the floor,

 

She climbed out getting a few cuts but that didn't bother her she ran down the road, her hair flowing in the wind she felt free again, it was about 5:47 in the morning, what an experience for a 14 year old girl to go through,she had nothing to think about but just getting home to her family and letting them know she was ok, lucky her mother was ok she just had been hit by a car and was happy for her to be home. The police searched the old couples house and are now trying to track them down. You may think they lived happily after that.

 Today was the first day back to school after lock down and we designed soon roof tiles inspired by the St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. 

Wairau river

 Today my class done some research about a specific river,I chosed Wairau river. I had so much fun doing this and I also learnt many new things.💕😗

Te whenua

 Earlier in the year we done reports on some manu.🐦 I learned so much stuff about Toroa and i also found out that Toroa can fly for about 5 years.👀😗💕

Learning how to do animation with google slides

 Earlier on in the year, my class learned how to do animation on google slides.🙌 I had lots of fun being creative and also telling a message😝😎😂

My favourite things to do is hangout with Avei💖, spend time with family, I always enjoy watching Netflix😛 and I love going to the pools. I have also have a passion for Art and Drawing. I am the best at Minecraft maybe because its the only Playstation game I know how to play, also very good at cooking 2 minute noodles and eggs. I'm the best at winning a Drawing comp against my cousins.
